Orange is no longer the New Black
Evil has trumped it
with gun-slaughter
domestic terrorismus
unlawful law enforcers
sniper attacks
blood splatter
media porn king pins and queens
luxuriating in the horror
like a bubble bath
after a hard day
thoughts and prayers
thoughts and prayers
thoughts and prayers
another funeral
interviews on wide screen TV
24-7 news cycle
weeping mothers and children
it’s so banal
it’s all the rage
to be enraged
constantly
Congress on vacation
needing a break
from truth
how hard it is to see
when you won’t believe
Every week…every other day, another tragedy, another police attack on people of color, another suicide bomb…we”re getting numb. We’re all getting immune to the horrors of violence and hatred. The media is having a field day playing with the orange faced goon and the daily horrors in the world. Sadly, I do think our species is on its way out. Unless some kind of revolution of compassion and love happens.

Yes, it’s hard not become inured to the bloodshed, and the resulting lack of response (i.e. no change in gun laws / restrictions).
