I accepted Jane Dougherty’s poetry challenge, the theme of the week being swans, in any aspect or variation. The poem is seven lines in the syllable pattern 1-2-3-4-3-2-1.
Here goes:
Swan
Duckling
fairy tale
not in Swan Lake
ducks don’t like
ballet
shoes
Clever! Just a bit long in line three though. You might want to tweak, for the self-discipline, to prove to yourself that you can do it in three syllables. I’m not the syllable police though. It’s just a bit of fun 🙂

A minor point is there are no ducks in Swan Lake the ballet, unless you mean Swan Lake in Manitoba. That is what poetic license is for I guess. You do have a license don’t you? I like the photo of chocolate Willy Wonka and his chocolate duck–or is it a swan?

Oh, I know that. I was using my poetic license which I indeed possess (LOL). That’s actually a statue of Hans Christian Andersen and the Ugly Duckling.
