Frida Kahlo in the window
eyes skyward
such power in a single gaze
hold tight, Frida
your eyes climbed the trees
if your body could not

I gather strength from those eyes.

Her last diary entry read: “I hope the end is joyful – and I hope never to return – Frida..”
